ISLAND FORMENTERA.   Formentera, an island with one of the most important archeological discoveries in the area, lies an hour from Ibiza by ferry. The complex, Ca na Costa, dating from about 2,000 BC, was discovered in 1978 and is still being excavated. The remains of six Stone Age people were discovered and the men were almost 7 feet tall. Although it is surrounded by a fence, you can still view the limestone structure from every angle.   (© 10Best)
