4. Indy Jazz Festival

The Buzz -- This popular event brings jazz back to its local roots. Jazz greats like Miles Davis, Slide Hampton and Charlie Parker all started out in these parts, and their legacy lives on at this celebration. The festival, held each June during Father's Day weekend, features a host of live jazz concerts, and every year, more than 65,000 folks participate in the lively festivities. Indy invites everyone to come out and pay tribute to its rich musical heritage.
