This golden-roofed, historic building was built by Duke Friedrich in 1420. The balcony was added in the 16th century by King Maximilian as a location from which to watch parades and events. The building currently houses royal memorabilia from the reign of Maximilian.

One of the most important historic buildings in the city, this former palace of Maximilian I stands as a testament to the great ruler's reign. Interesting rooms include the Giant's Hall, reception hall, and early portrait of Queen Maria Theresa's daughter, doomed French Queen Marie Antoinette.

This 1587 church was built by Ferdinand for his wife. The church is home to a large silver statue of the Madonna. Interesting items held by the church include armor worn by Ferdinand and a beautiful 16th century organ.

Built in the mid 1700's, this beautiful Rococo church is one of the more famous in Austria. Built in Wilten, which the site of an ancient Roman town, the basilica is noted for its interiors and religious art, including the statue "Our Lady Under the Four Columns." A must see for the visitor to the city.

This abbey of Wilten, which was once an ancient Roman town, was built in the 1650's. While not as ornate as the basilica, it offers visitors a rich look at Renaissance Christian architecture. Damaged during World War II, the church still stands as a symbol of the rich history of Innsbrück.
