This golden-roofed, historic building was built by Duke Friedrich in 1420. The balcony was added in the 16th century by King Maximilian as a location from which to watch parades and events. The building currently houses royal memorabilia from the reign of Maximilian.

Built in Wilten, which the site of an ancient Roman town, the basilica is noted for its interiors and religious art, including the statue "Our Lady Under the Four Columns." This abbey of Wilten, which was once an ancient Roman town, was built in the 1650's. While not as ornate as the basilica, it offers visitors a rich look at Renaissance Christian architecture. Damaged during World War II, the church still stands as a symbol of the rich history of Innsbrück.
