1. Jackson Zoological Park

This hundred-acre zoo is nearly a century old and features more than 500 animals living in natural habitats. A large-scale botanical collection in an urban forest setting is also part of the zoo's offerings. The Children's Discovery Zoo allows children to burrow through a prairie dog town, hatch out of a giant egg, or get caught up in an oversized spider web.
