10. Snake River

The Snake River offers some of the best fishing in this part of the country. Areas all along the river afford the angler prime opportunity to catch good-sized trout. Kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, and guided fishing trips are available through several companies. At various points along the river you may see otter, beaver, and moose taking advantage of the abundant fish and plant life. To reach the Snake River from Jackson, take Rt 22 west to Moose-Wilson Road and turn right. For the most part, the river runs parallel to this road all the way to Moose Junction, and continues on through Grand Teton National Park.   (© 10Best)
