Fairly bursting with authentic ambience, the Silver Dollar Bar will transport you back to the days of the Old Wild West. It wasn't constructed until 1950, but you'd never know it. In a nod to Jackson's gambling days, the hand built bar was covered with over 2000 silver dollar coins, then protected with many, many layers of sealant. People try to remove the coins, but never succeed. Popular with locals and tourists alike, the bar does fill up quickly, especially when there's a band, so try to arrive a little early. In addition to an array of beers and specialty cocktails, the bar serves up good pub grub, highlighted by a tasty buffalo burger and crab cakes with chili-lime aioli.
