The House of Sourdough was named for Jedidiah Smith, an 1800's pioneer in these parts. This local favorite serves sourdough hot and fresh daily. The log cabin restaurant is a quaint little place for breakfast before a fun day in Jackson. On the menu are waffles, sour jacks, wheat cakes, and French toast. Try The Road Warrior – two eggs, ham, bacon or sausage, and cheese on sourdough toast, served with home-fried potatoes. Talk about a jumpstart for your morning!   (© 10Best)

great food, great service, good prices. Best breakfast in Jackson by far. I ate there this am, a midweek summer morning. Lots of locals and in-the-know tourists; busy but no wait. Get the Hungry Man breakfast - three eggs, the best bacon this side of Ireland, home fries, "sourjacks" or toast, coffee, and a nice glass of orange juice for less than ten bucks including tax. But I went there not for the price but for the food and service both of which shine. A rare find for a tourist town.
