5. Layla's of San Marco

This place is AWESOME!!!
My favorite place in the entire city! The atmosphere is great, the staff is very friendly, food is very good, full bar, hookahs.... Beautiful decorations indoor, chill patio, very comfy lounge, belly dancing, DJ's. I try to go at least couple of times a week.

love it, Love it, LOVE IT!
I first came to Layla's with a fellow co-worker to have a drink after work which was over a year ago. Now I could consider myself a regular. A year ago, Laylas was only a patio and the inside eating area, and since then they have expanded and added a new room which is absolutely beautiful. The whole place is gorgeous, great atmosphere, and is in a great part of San Marco which is very convenient. Staff is helpful, food is amazing, and they also have a great variety of beers on tap to choose from if you are a beer lover like I am. Overall, every experience I've ever had at Layla's has been wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone.

Jacksonville nicest atmosphere
It was a very nice spot for my friend’s birthday. The server was great and the food was delicious. we will be back..

this place was very cool showed up with a group up friends service was fast and never let us down everything was as good as we had hoped it would be if you like to go out with with your friends this place is a must great social environment been to plenty of hookah lounges this is my new favorite

I mainly went to layla's to check out the hookahs very impressed wide variety of flavors, i decided to try some of there grape leaves it was excellent definately mouth watering food topped with great hookahs and a full liquor bar i would say it has everything you need in one great classy place the set up was very elegant recommend everyone to check this place out i will be returning for sure its my new hangout !

LayLa's Was Great
I can Agree with the first comment LayLa's was truley a great place very laid back and comfortable, everyone is friendly and the service was great! I had just heard of the place not to long ago has to be the best hookah lounge I have been to. There was a wide selection of beer wine and liqour, and also some beautiful belly dancers to top it off very positive environment. All i can really say is go for yourself bring a group a friends you will have a great time , and you will not regret it doesnt hurt to go see for yourself :)

will never go back
I've tried this restaurant several times since it has opened. Service has always been terrible. One time, my friends and I actually got up and left the restuarant at lunch because service was so bad. (Our waiter never appeared, ever, despite us repeatedly asking for service!) However, on those occassions when I did receive some form of service, the food was good. Last night, my wife and I had dinner at Layla. The place was not busy. We were seated in an area where there were no other patrons, not a good sign to me. We waited 10 minutes before someone appeared to take our order for drinks. As expected, service was terrible for the rest of the evening. But, this time, the food was too. My wife and I agreed to never return to this place again. I don't understand how the place stays open now.

Aside from the fact that they have good bellydancers sometimes, I have nothing good to say about Layla's. Actually, I have left there irritated or mad on several occasions. First: the management is awful. They add a 20% gratuity onto every bill, regardless of the size of the party, if you can believe it. They also take a significant cut out of all gratuities for themselves. Second: it's ridiculously overpriced. My wife and I got a $20 bill for 2 beers and an order of fries. Who do they think they are? The food is not horrible, but it does not provide a good reason to go there. Go to Hala for a meal, then get your drinks at a bar. They'll be cheaper. Oh, hookas are around $18. Really? Unless you have a very large group, you'd be dumb to pay that kind of money for a bowl of tobacco. Third: the dining room and patio are cluttered, uncomfortable and loud. Skip Laylas.

Best Hookah Lounge
It was very refreshing to sit in a more mature atmosphere. I love hookah lounges, but hate sitting with immature, loud kids. Not only did Layla's have great food and service, but the crowd was more mature, and everyone was in great spirits. Every other hookah lounge that I've been to has felt like High School. Plus, it was nice to have a full bar.

Great Food
I was very impressed with the quality and the freshness of the Lamb Kabob at Layla’s . If you are looking for a nice evening out, Just forget the Casbah and dine in at layla’s. I highly recommend it .

Bad food, Good Hookah
My fish was SALTY!, THE SALAD WAS SALTY. BUT THE BLUE MIST HOOKAH WAS DELIGHTFUL. I PROBALY WNT BE RETURNING.

food is good.. but seriously worst service EVER. I just went for the second time.. hoping it wouldnt be as bad as the first but it was WORSE. our waitress had NO other tables besides ours.. we sat down at at 930 did leave til 1150.. and they automatically include 20% gratuity even for a party of 2... got to Mare's sweet kabob or Casbah if you are looking for that style food and atmosphere.
