Corse Gallery & Atelier will celebrate the opening of an exciting new type of art gallery for Jacksonville. The gallery and atelier (artist’s workshop) is located at 4144 Herschel Street, situated just between Avondale and Ortega. With 2000 square feet of exhibition space, the gallery will feature works by artists from around the country, and many will teach their trade through workshops held right in the gallery.
Featured artists include Carol Marine, one of the original Daily Painters from Manor, Texas; Mary Louise O’Sullivan award-winning wildlife and landscape painter from Palm City, Florida; Irene Salley, out of Gainesville, Florida, a vibrant oil painter with a style reminiscent of Van Gogh; Eileen Corse, Jacksonville’s own, paints lively-colored still life and landscapes; Gary Borse, from Gainesville, Florida, paints Florida with bold and vibrant color; Eleanor Blair, also from Gainesville, Florida, seasoned and popular Florida scene painter; Katie Dobson, from Bradenton, Florida, skilled plein air painter; Rachel Thompson, from St. Augustine, Florida, paints large colorful florals, and Charles Schaefer, experienced plein air painter from Palm Coast, Florida.
Workshops instructors include: Leonard Wren, one of America’s leading impressionists; Carol Marine, Daily Painter from Texas; Jenny Chi, Old-Master painter from Chicago, Eileen Corse, Jacksonville, still life and landscapes; Romel de la Torre, award-winning portrait and figure painter from Chicago. The biggest selection of affordable oil paintings in Jacksonville!!! Hundreds of readymade frames all sizes and styles. I decorated my whole house. I get compliments from everyone and I tell them they need to go to Deerwood Artworks and check them out. The staff can help with your design choice to make sure it will fit in your home perfectly. They even let me take them home to try them out first.

Murray Hill-Westside: This shop is the best kept secret in Jacksonville – located near Cassat Ave. just on the outskirts of Historic Murray Hill – they have a great selection of antique furniture (ranging from Shabby Chic to Retro). Glassware and china from almost every pattern, and an amazing collection of one of a kind hard to find items. It has several dealers that contribute a vast variety and selection for every taste. OPEN Tue-Sat 1-5:30 and Sun 1-5.

Ribbons of Pink Antiques is a hidden treasure on the Westside – located near Cassat Ave. This multi-dealer mall has a great selection of antiques, furniture, vintage collectibles and a large selection of one of a kind items. Ribbons of Pink Antiques donates a portion of all proceeds to cancer-related organizations.

Specializes in "one of a kind" and wonderful Victorian items. Located in an area of Historical Jacksonville Beach called "The Shoppes of 4th Avenue South". There are many stores within walking distance including antique shops, ,a tea room, ,boutiques, and a bed and breakfast.
