DOWNTOWN.
This renovated floatplane hangar offers Juneau's only waterfront dining. You can look out at the fishing vessels and then see their spoils, right on your own plate. The halibut tacos are the specialty of the house, but the halibut burger and the salmon chowder also win raves. There are more than 24 beers on tap, and a full bar besides. After your meal, hang around and play pool or darts or listen to the live bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

SAVE YOUR MONEY
When we were there, it was noisy and crowded and we ran across who is possibly the worst bartender in North America. We sent our watery cocktails back, and the bartender sent them back basically saying too bad.
Next to us were three puffed up macho types trying to outargue each other, and some drunk girl kept going in and out to the outdoor deck, which was covered with snow.
When were finally seated and placed our orders, some food was overcooked, some was about the temperature of a warm bath.
To be honest, we'd have been better off going to McDonalds and spliting a six pack in the car....

The Hanger
Ever Since I Was A Little kid in this crap lousy town, Juneau, i have ate at the hanger at least 3-5 times each year, and its AMAZING, The Waiting staff are really nice and efficient, the cooks are locals that know their foods. my personal favorite are there cod and chips and there burger, the seasoned fries complement the meat, and fish. also there best desert has to be the mud pie. so try it, its really fun, especially watching the float planes come and go.

I say "Yes"
Honestly, I don't remember anything about their food and have eaten here numerous times. There can be a wait, the service isn't always the greatest. They won't always split checks for groups. Which I am always with a group, so that is confusing. I have been left with the bill of other peoples. I also know that it takes only a bit more effort to split checks and make everyone happy. It also usually increases your tips. That being said, the water view is lovely. The cold beer is great and then we walk through the hallway to Pal'Meni Russian restaurant and have some spectacular dumplings. Wink!
