Juneau's natural beauty has inspired more than one artist to make this small city home, so it isn't surprising that there is a plethora of excellent galleries located in the downtown area. Native art is also widely available in Juneau, thanks to the close relations with the Tlinglit Indians. Pottery, woodcarvings and handmade jewelry are of the highest quality and afford the best deals. When shopping, look for the polar bear symbol, which indicates a product made in Alaska.
