About Juneau Attractions & Activities
Alaska's capital city offers something for everyone when it comes to leisure time. Nature buffs can go on a whale watch, take a sport-fishing charter or simply drive to Mendenhall, the "drive-in" glacier. The mining museum, city museum and the Macaulay Salmon Hatchery offer indoor diversions. Two activities to save for a clear day are a trip up the Mount Roberts Tram for a spectacular view of the city and Gastineau Channel, and the free walking tour through the South Franklin Street Historic District.
