KALAMAZOO.   This joint has changed a lot over the years, evolving from little more than a run-of-the-mill pool hall to what is today one of Western Michigan's sleekest all-around nightspots. With five full-service bars, live bands, a pumping dance floor, and 20 televisions, the place is immensely popular with a young, hip crowd. In addition, the billiards room features nine pool tables, and the 4000-square-foot game room has everything from foosball to air hockey to Gold Tee. Wayside also boasts a decent selection of upscale pub fare, including hearty steak burgers, sandwiches, wraps and hand-tossed pizzas.   (© 10Best)

Wayside is by far the best place to go to watch a sports game. Any other time is questionable. Wayside does have the biggest dance club around Kalamazoo, but it isn't worth it because most of Kalamazoo's "questionable locals" call this home on Friday and Saturday nights. Fights are frequent. The staff is rude and the drinks if you go on a non special night are way overpriced. However the only nights that are guarenteed to be a great night are the special parties, like Halloween and Homecoming, but get there early it fills up fast.

if you want a place to dance the night away, this is the place. For a group get together or just out for a few drinks, not the best. Always over crowded so you can never find each other, and the drinks are not worth the money.

What other place in Kalamazoo can you watch sports on a 40+ projection screen and over 20+62 inch large screens. When you’re done watching a game you can go dancing on a glass dance floor that lights up! or go watch live music upstairs. Not even mentioning the game room and all the beautiful people walking around. This place is over 40,000 square feet big.
