KALAMAZOO.   Many locals consider this warmly decorated family operation, which opened during the Carter administration, to be the area's top Mexican restaurant. If you're with a crowd (or just outrageously hungry), be sure to start off with nachitos, perhaps Mi Ranchito's most popular item. House specialties include enchiladas, quesadillas, chimichangas, sizzling fajitas, and burritos, most of which burst at the seams with fresh-cooked veggies and soy, Monterey Jack, or Chihuahua cheeses. Mi Ranchito The food and atmosphere is pretty darn good. I really like their enchiladas and my wife likes that they have a lot of vegetarian options.

I don't know how this made it into the top 10! The restaurant is SO smokey! Also, the salsa is probably the worst salsa my husband and I have ever eaten....seriously! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you want excellent Mexican food, Old Hacienda Perez, in Gobles in the best!
