7. Water Street Coffee Joint

KALAMAZOO.   Housed in what used to be an old-timey gas station, this unique downtowner is popular with students and the business crowd. From gourmet coffees to fresh-squeezed juices, patrons' morning needs are aptly met, especially if a double espresso, frothy cappuccino, or mocha latte is on the agenda. Couple one with a slice of pie (any time is a good time for pie!) or a fresh-baked pastry, and you'll find yourself sufficiently armed to take on the day. The Water Street Coffee joint is overrated. The staff are unfriendly and snobby.
