KALAMAZOO.   Step one foot in this place, and you'll quickly discover where locals eat. Like a page out of "Route 66," the joint is a classic American diner, complete with the telltale aroma of frying bacon and a hint of brewing coffee thrown in for good measure. Early-risers are treated to Bucky's Breakfast (two eggs any style with potatoes, meat and toast), Western Omelets with potatoes, and the aptly-named (and mammoth) Everything Sandwich, with hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, ham, cheese and egg. I stopped at Bucky's for lunch one day. I was ignored for at least ten minutes while the help were whispering to each other behind the counter. I ordered a simple egg salad sandwhich and it was horrible. Then I had to ask to pay for my meal three times.
