BATTLE CREEK.   Michigan Avenue is the heart and soul of Battle Creek's vibrant downtown area, where visitors will find a good mix of locally-owned shops and familiar chain stores. Many of the city's popular restaurants and nightspots are located here, and, each summer, thousands of people pour onto Michigan Avenue for the "Taste of Battle Creek."
