WAREHOUSE DISTRICT.   There's little that's fancy about this BBQ pit located in the downtown Warehouse District, but it's a KC local favorite if there ever was one. Dating back to the 1930s, Rosedale serves some of the spiciest, most irresistible plates in town – many of them bearing founder Anthony Rieke's unmistakable Southwestern-style sauce. Choose your just rewards: beef, pork, and ham barbecued sandwiches with sides ranging from homemade coleslaw and potato salad to baked beans and crinkle-cut fries. Casual attire.   (© 10Best)

Top 10....Seriously?
How can Rosedale's be one of the top 10 pits in KC while Zarda BBQ was not even mentioned? The brisket tastes like pot roast warmed with a microwave. Maybe if they moved the microwave into the pit the bbq would have more of a smokey flavor. BBQ chicken is fried. Fries were dripping w/ grease. Not a good representative of KC BBQ. Consider yourself warned.

I have tried about every bbq in kc. I love bbq and know where to find good bbq. Rosedale has to be one of the worst kc has to offer. I ordered a bit of everything. Brisket was fatty and bland. Pork was dry and had almost a gamey taste. The biggest dissappointment was the so-called bbq chicken. Fried bbq chicken? So dry and flavorless. Whole meal was almost inedible. DOES NOT BELONG ON KC TOP TEN!!!

I got a Combo Dinner Special to go today w beef and ribs. the beef was 95% shredded meat. I called to express this was the first time I had ever gotten such low quality at the restaurant. I was told by the manager this is the way they do beef dinners now. I will not be back.
