NORTH KANSAS CITY.   South American flair meets Midwestern cuisine at this popular Argentinean spot, which serves a tantalizing blend of grilled meats and seafood that diners rave about. Try a flaky, fried empanada stuffed with chicken and roasted peppers as an appetizer, and then feast on bife de chorizo, a grilled, 16-oz. Kansas City strip steak with roasted vegetables and potatoes. Chicken, veal, and a wide selection of fish dishes are other stand-outs, accompanied by lush side dishes and zesty sauces.   (© 10Best)

Overrated
This restaurant did not live up to the expectations generated by some of the online reviews we had read. We had the pepper-crusted filet with brandy cream sauce and the breaded filet with gorgonzola garlic mashed potatoes, both of which were bland and underseasoned, despite menu descriptions promising otherwise. Dessert was awful, seeming like something you could buy at the grocery store (especially the Pastel de Banana, which lacked any flavor or sweetness). We went for a romantic, special dinner and were highly disappointed by the complete inability to hold a discussion in the very noisy dining room; so much that we had our table moved to the patio so we could hear each other without yelling. We would recommend the Plaza III or the Melting Pot for an intimate dinner.
