OVERLAND PARK.   Small, friendly Il Trullo distinguishes itself by making it a priority to serve authentic, traditional preparations from southern Italy. Careful, efficient servers start you off with an assortment of delicious breads and spreads (including an olive tapenade), but don't spoil your appetite – awaiting are dishes like eggplant stuffed with veal, cheese, and mint, or shrimp Francesina dressed with a rich sauce of butter, cream, and tomatoes.
