DOWNTOWN.
When downtown business people feel the urge to indulge, this Old Country-style trattoria is usually the first place that springs to mind. Garozzo's sports a "Godfather"-like interior, complete with snug tables, a "wall of fame," candles, and Sinatra crooning in the background. Add to the mix the ubiquitous owner, who weaves his way from table to table, armed with a peppermill, a sharp wit, and a silky smooth voice, and it's easy to see why this cozy joint enjoys such loyal patronage. House specialties include the famous chicken spiedini, veal marsala with peppers and mushrooms, and lasagna with sausage and meatballs.

Best Italian?
It is a nice restaurant with friendly attentive people. However, it took over an hour to get the food and it is extremely expensive. $18.95 for pasta with no salad ....and no taste. The Rigitoni Angela is very bland, but with the addition of pepper, red pepper flakes and cheese it was better. I have to admit the Fettucini was to die for, but you have to pay a $1.00 up per shrimp if you want to add shrimp to your fettuchini. Thought that was a litte weird. Probably won't visit again...actually positive won't. Will just stick with Bucca Di Pippo or Cascones.

We were in Kansas City for the Packers vs. Chiefs game and I looked online for the best italian restaurants in Kansas City. I came across this place and we decided to check it out. This is honestly THE BEST italian food I have ever had! Everything from the bread and the caesar salad to the last bite of my dessert was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and the portions are HUGE (definitely enough for at least 2 meals). I would also suggest the Olive oil and garlic dip mixture for your bread.....YUM! If we had one of these in Wisconsin I know my friends and I would be eating there all the time!
