OVERLAND PARK.
For authentic Thai food, locals head to this Johnson County gem, whose kitchen carefully balances spices and flavor. Family-owned since 1991, Thai Place offers upscale dining and a friendly, courteous waitstaff. Specialties include grilled pepper steak and steamed vegetables in pepper and mushroom garlic sauce; seafood Phad Gapow with scallops, mussels, and crab; and Mussaman beef stewed with coconut milk and curry.

Be careful with the spice.
Great place, decent service. Asked for but didn't recieve cherry coke. Waitress didn't know what "cherry" meant. Got the beef with scallions hot, almost got the "thai hot." It was the most meat I'd ever recieved at any asian restaurant. Usually I get plates of vegetables and have to pick out the meat. Not here. It really was beef with scallions, not vice versa. It was mouth burning, eye wateringly, forhead sweatingly spicy, just the way I like it.
Will definately go again.

Excellent Thai. This is a great restaurant. Some great dishes to not miss; Grilled Mint Beef Salad, Thom Yum Gai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Stuffed Chicken appetizer (if they ever have this one!!), & Pad Thai of course!
