Occupying a building that once housed plantation workers, this casual restaurant serves awesome, downhome food that folks can't help but love. Portions are enormous, and breakfast does the place proud with biscuits and sausage gravy, corned beef hash, bacon and eggs, and omelets. The rest of the day, look forward to burgers, ribs, fresh fish, rotisserie chicken, and some of the most luscious pies ever. A great fuel-up. I have been visiting Kauai since 1978. For the last or so years I have been eating at the CampHouse. I am glade to say it is better again. A few years ago the owner had been absent, and sometimes that showed. We visited with him on our last trip, and he filled us in on whats been going on. He is back and the service is better. The food has allways been the best value in the state. Any way it is better than ever....Oh those pies. The Kukuiolono berger is my fav. My husband loves the BBq combo. Still take a whole pineapple pie home everytime. If you can over look the bad building you will never be more happy with great REAL meals.

The place is stuck in the interior of an outdoor mall and doesn't look like much inside or out but the burgers are the best we ever ate. It was highly recommended to us by the locals and they were right. If you don't care about ambiance, like friendly servers and good food, this is the place for you. I wish I lived near this place. Don't leave Kauai until you have eaten here.
