1. Pomodoro Ristorante Italiano

This place was highly recommended so we were excited to try it out and made two attempts to get in.We were treated exceedingly terrible by an arrogant and stupid waiter.He looked down his nose and gave very very poor service.We have travelled around the world and experienced quality fine dining in many different settings, and we were astonished and sickened by the whole experience. This treatment made the food taste like cardboard!!! You can be sure I will spread the word and already have to many friends and family traveling to The beautiful isle of Kauai,not to ruin their experience of paradise by going to Pomodoros.

Great place for good conversation, service was very friendly. Food was not the best Italian I have ever had but still good. A bit pricey and did not live up to my expectations after hearing such great reviews from online and a friend who had visited in 2005. If you would like a nice place to have a quite dinner with the ability to carry a conversation I would highly recommend this restaurant. Expect the food to be good and not to be blown away with mouth dropping flavor.

I have eaten here for years. If you are used to New York Italian you will like the restaurant. The chef/owner is from Italy and his wife/owner is from New York. The food is probably one of the best on the island. Try it twice.
