About Kingsland Restaurants
In 1894, Kingsland was a stop for the Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad. Years later, when US Highway 17 (and, even later, Interstate 95) became the countrys first Maine-Miami road, the city reinvented itself to accommodate the needs of the ever-growing number of families traveling by automobile. Thus, when you pull off the highway here, youll likely find your exit loaded with familiar signage, from national fast food chains to more upscale alternatives like Applebees, Cracker Barrel, and Ponderosa. Of course, the Kingsland area also offers a handful of good, locally-owned eateries. -- Joseph K. Hall Jr., 10Best Editor
