4. Tennessee Fall Homecoming

The Buzz -- Tennessee natives are proud of their Appalachian heritage, and this festival is devoted to celebrating the history and culture unique to the area. Music plays a starring role, with singers and musicians performing, and you'll also find plenty of old-fashioned arts and crafts. Activities show what life was like for pioneers in Appalachia. The festival is held annually in mid-October.
