7. National Museum

LAKE GARDENS.   The museum's origins date back to 1888, although the present building - inspired by traditional Malay architecture - was built in 1963. Informative exhibits relate Malaysia's rich cultural and historical heritage with collections devoted to ethnography, archaeology and natural history. Guided tours are by appointment.
