8. Petronas Twin Towers

KLCC AREA.   Right in the center of the business district, these steel and glass towers are a dizzying visual and architectural feat. The Petronas Twin Towers, spectacular when illuminated at night, were the world's tallest buildings until the construction of the Taipei 101 Tower in 2004. Both towers stand almost 1,500 feet tall (88 stories). A glass walkway connects both towers at about the halfway point. Visitors can ascend to the walkway but only a limited number of tickets are issued daily so come before 11am to reserve your space. The Suria KLCC Mall, one of Kuala Lumpur's largest shopping centers, surrounds the two towers.   (© 10Best)
