BATU CAVES AREA.   In 1891, these limestone cliff caves became a place of worship for the native Indians. Home to a temple cave and a Hindu shrine, the caves are visited by thousands of tourists yearly. Many come to the religious site for the Thaipusam Festival in January/February.
