9. Tuanku Abdul Rahman Putra Memorial

MAHAMERU.   This three-building complex is a tribute to the legacy of Tuanku Abdul Rahman Putra, who was Malaysia's first prime minister. Renowned for his role in gaining Malaysia's independence from the British, he is often called the "Father of Independence." The memorial houses personal items and historical documents, and is located on seven and a half acres of manicured grounds.   (© 10Best)
