4. Hari Raya Aidilfitri

The Buzz -- Mosques are filled during this day of prayer and remembering the departed. A Muslim traditional, Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrates the start of Syawal and ends the monthlong fast of Ramadan, in October. Marked on the Muslim calendar for the 10th month, it celebrates family reunions with colorfully decorated homes and government buildings, as well as Muslims opening their homes to friends and family.
