3. Central Market

Just got back from Malaysia. KL has tons of malls that can be in any city. Looking for craft places can be more difficult. Central market has some good textile & fabric booths, but a good 80% is tourist junk or bad crafts, but that is to be expected...must be picky. There's a craft store across the street from the entrance that is good. PS, forget the craft complex downtown near the KLCC.

I visited Central Market in 2001. Compared to other Malaysian markets it is above average though most of the products sold in the many small boutiques can be in other markets too. What I really missed after having red some good reports about Central Market in tourist brochures was more handicraft objects and less tourist objects.
