DOWNTOWN. The sign outside this intentionally sleazy little lounge promises that, inside, patrons can expect to find terrible service. While that may be a bit of an exaggeration, the place's quirky decor has all the makings of a 1950s Vegas cocktail lounge. Icicle lights hang from the ceiling, providing just enough light to make out faces, and snug seats and booths arranged around the half-oval bar provide a bit of intimacy. Even the joint's telephone is retro – an olive-green rotary whose phone cord stretches further than you may think. So order up a dirty martini, kick back, and relax, daddio.
