DOWNTOWN.
Rumor has it that the owner of Digger's Sting worked with the syndicate before moving back home to La Crosse and opening this restaurant, named for a guy he knew who got "stung" in NYC. The decor was inspired by Robert Redford's "The Sting" – dark wood paneling, dim lighting, an old National Cash Register behind the bar, and black and white photos of Mr. Sinatra. As for dinner, BBQ baby back ribs, a 12-oz. sirloin with mashed red-potatoes, or a prime rib and scallops platter are never bad ways to go. Dinner reservations are recommended, capiche?

#1 choice
My boyfriend and I try to eat here when ever we can. The food and service has always been outstanding.
I took my boyfriend here last night for his birthday and the waitress asked him about the Martini list remembering that he usually orders them (working his way down the list) I definately had to slip an extra $5 tip for that! Thank you so much for that.
Before Digger's we were never big fans of mushrooms but we can't get enough the Digger's mushrooms! I would love to learn how to make them.
A huge thank you to the staff at Digger's Sting for creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere and serving great food.
This place needs no improvement. The only thing that could make it better is to add Washington Hills Riesling to the wine list. ;)

"Passive Agressive Disorder-10BestGuest"
I normally do not respond to such base behavior but I had to respond to the ridiculous "cockraoches in the kitchen" comment. I have been employed at Diggers for over 10 yrs and have yet to see a roach. We have regular professional pest control and work hard to maintain proper food safety proceedure. We do our best to please the customer and if something is not done to your satisfaction, we will strive to make it exceed so. Which is not so hard to do as we carry excellent products. We regularly see high profile clientelle; businessmen, doctors and lawyers. Why do they keep coming in? Its a no-brainer.
It's a sorry state of affairs when a person who is angry for some reason will resort to slander.
