9. Freight House

Completed in the 1880s as the Milwaukee Road Freighthouse, this historic building was constructed of hearty timbers, red brick, and weathered wood planks, giving it a certain rustic timelessness. Today's Freighthouse operates as one of the area's more acclaimed restaurants, winning recognition from local and national rags alike. Featured menu items include seafood entrees, naturally aged beef, and prime rib, all served with fresh seasonal vegetables. Excellent food!!! Great entertainment in the bar. Wonderful atmosphere and delightful staff.

The food here rolls off your palate. For those of you who haven't had prime beef the freight house is an experience not to be missed. Also the bar is second to none; the bartenders need a rolling ladder to reach the top shelf stuff!
