This is my favorite lunch spot. If you like hot food, I recommend Friday's lunch special - Ta Chin Chicken. Fantastic. Their Spicy Sour soup is the best in town. Service is very good too, and lunch portions are generous.

Hunan's food is by far the best Chinese in the La Crosse area. I believe that tourists and residents alike will love this place. The restaurant has a quiet and calm feel about it. The owner is always there as a manager and a good friend to her long time customers. She always cares if you enjoyed your food and your experience at Hunans. I really don't know what would be wrong in the first place. Their Chinese cuisine is great and on par. I love the wait staff and the relationships your form with the people that work there. It is definitely a place you could eat at everyday! The owner and staff makes you feel at home in this place. I also like the fact that they only do carryouts, allowing families to come into the restaurant and enjoy a very good and different meal together. She has owned the place for a very long time and business has always been good. I hope this place still goes on! Definite place to go if living in or visiting La Crosse if you like Chinese food. Get the Ta-Chin Chicken...yum!
