BAIE-STE-CATHERINE. Sitting on a high cliff that overlooks the confluence of the Sanguenay and Saint Lawrence Rivers, the Pointe Noire Observation Center offers some of the most breathtaking panoramas you can imagine. On one side, you have a clear, sweeping view of the icy blue Saint Lawrence. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of a beluga or finback whale. On the other, you've got the forbidding cliffs of the Sanguenay Fjord, a geographic marvel unique in this part of North America. Be sure to bring your camera– you'll want to capture all of it.
