LA MALBAIE. Parc Régional du Mont Grand-Fonds offers terrific alpine skiing within minutes of the La Malbaie-Pointe-au-Pic area. The park's 20 runs boast a vertical drop of almost 400 meters, along with four advanced and two expert trails, including the thrilling Les Braconniers and Nagano runs. If snowboarding is more your speed, Mont Grand-Fonds offers a snowboard park. Cross-country skiing is also available, with 15 breathtaking trails highlighted by the daunting Nordique, whose 26 km is not for first-timers.
