CAP-À-L'AIGLE. Aptly named after writer Marguerite Yourcenar's hideway on Île des Monts-Déserts where she would go for peaceful retreats. A large, dove gray Colonial with a sweeping front porch houses the six cozy rooms at Auberge Petite Plaisance. Each room is decorated in a traditional style and four have private baths. You'll enjoy a sumptous breakfast each morning at their restaurant and can also indulge in the table d'hote (French cuisine with a Quebecois flavor) for dinner. A short walk will get you to a variety of activities and skiing, watersports, shopping and scenic cruises.
