I was recently attending a huge event in downtown Lafayette. I was left in the area with only my ID and debit card. The staff allowed me to start a tab :including my cover charge. The band was "happening", the drinks were reasonabley priced, and the "regulars" made me feel very welcome. I was even given a walk ,to the block that my hotel was on, when I was ready to leave. It was nice to feel welcome and safe in an unfamiliar area. I will return to Knickerbocker on my next visit to the area!!

I was from out of town visiting friends in the area. This was one of the worst experiences I ever had at a bar. First of all the "food" tasted like it had been sitting out all day or something. I mean it isn't that hard to make pizza edible. Secondly the bartender was giving me attitude all night. It wasn't until I was leaving that she tried being nice to me. I tipped her decently because I worked in the food industry too. Anyways, after she saw I actually tipped she tried to get me to do some more shots "for the road" as she called them. I said I was driving but she still tried to get me to take shots. All in all it was a pretty lousy experience and I will never come back.
