6. Sgt. Preston's of the North

LAFAYETTE.   Named for an old TV show set in the Northwest Territory that related the adventures of a Royal Canadian Mountie, this rustic saloon and restaurant captures the rough-n-ready spirit of the Great White North. Old black-and-white photos, wood paneling and accents, weathered brick walls, and old advertisements add flair and perfectly complement a menu that boasts everything from hearty, grilled rib-eyes and New York strips to pork loins and hot wings. Of course, barflies find plenty to admire as well, especially with great workweek beer prices and superb Sunday Bloody Marys. Great downtown location, terrific food, drinks and atmosphere. Friendly service and a very inviting patio during the Spring, Summer and fall. Super steaks, seafood, sandwiches and wings. Every bite is just yummy!!
