Facts & Fundamentals

A Park Pass is required for the use of park facilities. This includes scenic drives (Bow Valley Parkway and Icefield Parkway), trails, picnic sites and viewpoints, as well as visits to the towns of Banff, Lake Louise, Field and Jasper.
Park Passes can be purchased at any of the park gates: East Park Gate on the Trans-Canada Highway, David Thompson Gate (summer only) on the David Thompson Highway, and Niblock Gate (summer only) on the Icefields Parkway. Park Passes may also be purchased at Parks Canada Information Centres; both the Lake Louise and Banff centres are open year round.
Daily pass: Adult CAD 8.90; Senior (65+) CAD 7.65; Youth (6-16) CAD 4.45; Family or group (2-7 people in same vehicle) CAD 17.80
Annual pass: Adult CAD 62.40; Senior CAD 53.50; Youth CAD 31.70; Family or group (2-7 people in the same vehicle) CAD 123.80

Fishing licenses: Daily CAD 9.9., Annual CAD 34.65
