6. Harper's Restaurant & Brew Pub

Completely Improved
I go to harpers atleast twice a week. I have to say in the past three weeks they have completly changed there staff and it's for the better. The service has improved leaps and bounds. My server was very attentive. I feel that if you have been there before and been dissapointed try it out again it's worth it!

I agree with Mike. Horrible service! Very pretentious, crappy food. One time in college, I knew someone who put all of their drinks on someone elses tab. He over-heard the name of someone with an open tab and all night kept saying, "this goes on so-n-so's tab." Watch out or you might walk out of there broke!

The beer is ok, but the service is awful. Ask anyone around EL, and they'll say the same. If you want to sit without a drink for an hour while sorority waitresses chat to their friends, then Harper's is the place for you. The manager has let this go one for years. The food is crap too. Having said all that, everything is half off on Wednesdays (drink and food), so despite the crap food and service, both are a good deal at half the already low prices!

Harper's Restaurant & Brew Pub is probably the best place to go to on any night of the week. The atmosphere is buzzing with college students and it's right in the heart of downtown East Lansing. It has my vote for best bar in East Lansing
