DOWNTOWN.
The old-timey look and feel of this Washington Square classic easily make the Peanut Shop a local favorite – of course, fresh-roasted nuts and delicious snack items help a bit too. From the storefront, you can see barrel after barrel of tasty little goodies like blanched broken cashews, Virginia peanuts and burnt sugar nuts. Stop in after a day of shopping, and a cold soda and a sack of hot, buttered popcorn will make everything worthwhile. As you'll no doubt discover, though, a few handsful of hot, in-shell peanuts are hard to pass up, especially at less than $2 per pound. Mixed nut gift bags make terrific treats for the folks back home too.

Very cool place to visit in Lansing! Of course I am a little partial because I am married to the owner's nephew. That aside I still recommend it to anyone. Cute and charming atmosphere, excellent service.

This was recommended to me to visit while on business, well worth the trip. As a fan of Almonds, they had about 7 kinds. Mixed nuts, plain nuts, coated, nuts you name it they got it. Great prices, great service, and delicious nuts. Well worth the trip.

If you are in downtown Lansing and you like nuts, it is the place to stop. Fresh roasted peanuts prepared in an old-fashioned "Mr. Peanut" roaster that is right by the door. Staff is quick to serve and friendly. Selection is great with just about any type of nut that you could want. Gets very busy on nice days around the lunch hour, but you never really have to wait long. Highly recommend.
