Stratosphere Tower is promoted as the "tallest freestanding observation tower" in the US and the tallest building west of the Mississippi. It stands 1,149 feet high and offers both indoor and outdoor observation decks. Unrepentant daredevils can get a "white knuckle" fix by riding any of the four thrill rides it hosts, all located 100 stories above the ground.
