Over the years, the wastewater reclamation facility in Henderson has become a popular bird habitat and one of the best parks in Las Vegas for avid bird watchers. In 1998, this free Las Vegas park was declared an official bird-viewing preserve. Nine ponds host a variety of birds, many of which live here year-round. A number of paved and dirt paths wind their way through the 140-acre preserve. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars for the best bird watching in Las Vegas.
