The Buzz -- Originally, Helldorado Days was developed as a community-building event meant to entice workers to stay in southern Nevada after finishing construction of the Hoover Dam. The plan worked, and the event has now evolved into a charity fundraiser featuring a golf tournament, art auction and show, poker championship, trap shooting contest, trail ride, two rodeos, and additional equine events. The downtown parade filled with colorful floats is a favorite with families, as are the fireworks show and concerts. See the website for details and locations of all events. |
