EAST OF THE STRIP. A taste of the French countryside in the middle of the city! Copper pots and pottery adorn Pamplemousse's otherwise bare walls, and exposed beams on the low ceilings exude casual charm. The daily menu is recited by the waitstaff, who also deliver crisp crudités, a large bowl of olives, and a basket of hard-boiled eggs to start. Follow up with Chilean sea bass tinged with soy and ginger, salmon and spinach in puff pastry, or a tomato and goat cheese tarte. Don't be surprised to see Vegas headliners like Wayne Newton enjoying the extraordinary French country cuisine. The restaurant's popularity is far-reaching!

THE STRIP. Fantastic views of the Strip and a chandelier with more than 15,000 handblown glass spheres set MIX apart from the crowd. A blend of French and American cuisines with international influences characterizes the menu and introduces fine cuisine to comfort food. Starters like potato gnocchi with enoki mushrooms and black truffle shavings are almost satisfying enough to be main courses. Entrées include duck breast "dolce forte" with glazed black mission figs, and beef tenderloin rossini with potato galette. Scrumptious sides like Yorkshire pudding or elbow pasta with ham and Gruyère are welcome accompaniments.

Blondie, David Bowie, and Metallica have delighted fans, along with newer acts like Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory. Guitars arranged in sunburst patterns provide visual interest, and more rock memorabilia can be found throughout the venue and in the adjacent Hard Rock Hotel. Named after President Herbert Hoover, who played a large part in its creation, the dam is Nevada's largest and draws a million visitors each year. Located about thirty miles southeast of Las Vegas, it's one of the most amazing manmade structures in the country. Lake Mead, the reservoir created by the dam, ranks as one of the country's busiest national parks and is a great destination for aquatic recreation.
