THE STRIP. Take a seat in this brightly decorated, mirrored room with a plate piled high from the superb buffet. International cooking shows play on flat-screen TVs scattered around the dining area, encouraging you to sample some of the global fare offered at the buffet's thirteen chef stations. Despite the name, this Orleans Hotel buffet serves a wide variety of cuisines, including traditional American, Mongolian, Chinese, Italian, and Mexican, as well as seafood and barbecue. THE STRIP. Zut alors! Le Village offers French comestibles that are a cut above the usual buffet fare, as well as heaping helpings of charming atmosphere and great service. Much of the food is made-to-order by chefs in stations designed to resemble petite provincial shops. Fresh crab legs, beef à la bourguignonne, and duck in Riesling wine are just a few of the specialties. Rotisserie and carved meats, a salad bar, and gourmet cheeses are also available. However, you must leave room for dessert – the crêpes draw rave reviews.

WEST OF THE STRIP. While seafood in the middle of the desert might seem an anomaly, this buffet proves it can be done, and done right – just ask visitors, who rave about succulent crab claws and perfectly prepared fish dishes. Lobster tail, seafood salad, catfish, and a lavish assortment of shrimp are always available. Long lines and a busy dining room are indicative of the quality to be found on the buffet.
