THE STRIP. Does exploring an exhibition of real cadavers fascinate you? It will when it's the BODIES exhibition at the Tropicana. Yes, the bodies are real – but they've been preserved with a polymer solution and posed in lifelike fashion, so you can see muscles, bones, and even veins and capillaries just the way they appear in a living body. Interesting, educational, and a great draw for the curious-minded!

An indoor wind tunnel provides the momentum, and for three minutes you're blissfully, totally airborne! A terrific way to experience the thrill without the anxiety or potential danger.

THE STRIP. If coming face-to-face with a shark (and living to tell about it) is your idea of a good time, you'll want to check out the up-close-and personal Shark Reef. This predator-filled aquarium boasts 1.6 million gallons and is home not only to sharks but to stingrays, rare golden crocodiles, piranha, jellyfish, and endangered sea turtles – over 2,000 species in all.

DOWNTOWN. This lofty tower is a Vegas landmark, and while it offers great views, it's also known for being home to four heart-stopping attractions. Set 900 feet in the air, they're the true definition of "thrill rides." Insanity the Ride suspends people 64 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower and turns them straight down. The massive, teeter-totter-like X-Scream sends folks plunging toward the city streets below. And the Big Shot catapults visitors upward, 160 feet into the air at 45 miles per hour. Remember, all of this happens 100 stories above the ground – definitely not for the faint of heart!

NORTH LAS VEGAS. Be afraid ... be very afraid! The Asylum, open annually, is a haunted journey that's not for those with weak constitutions. Walk through the abandoned, dilapidated Meadview Health Sanctuary, where the insane Dr. Vander once conducted cruel and unusual "treatments" on patients. You'll be able to witness these treatments firsthand ... that is, if you can bear to look!

EAST OF THE STRIP. Floating around in zero gravity, just like an astronaut, is the ultimate thrill – and it's possible to achieve that feeling right here in Vegas. Zero G's parabolic flights use the same technology that helps train astronauts, and the padded walls of the aircraft make it safe to bounce, flip, and tumble at will. Cameras record your experience, and you can even keep your flight suit! The pricey experience sells out well in advance, so plan ahead.

ZUMANITY, The Sensual Side of Cirque du Soleil

3790 Las Vegas Blvd S, New York-New York Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, NV 89109 · 702-740-6815

THE STRIP. Cirque's indelible innovation shines through during ZUMANITY, which addresses and reconciles visual dazzle, stagecraft, physicality, and theatricality. It also takes on issues of sexuality, gender, romance, and relationships while refusing to shy away from nudity and eroticism. As a result, the cabaret-style show, although not for youngsters, is a fascinating exploration of just what makes us human. Provocative performers and sets, intriguing costumes (or not!), and rhythmic music provide an all-out sensory extravaganza that offers much to behold.
